During this unprecedented time, we are all being urged to stay indoors to protect ourselves and the health of others. While this is helping to control the spread of COVID-19, it’s also resulting in a severe global blood shortage. Now more than ever it’s critical to keep a safe and ready blood supply for the patients who need it most – this includes not only the patients we fly for, but anyone with blood needs.

“One of the most important things you can do to ensure we don’t have another health-care crisis on top of coronavirus is to give [blood] now.”
— American Red Cross

Worldwide, you’ll see a global call to action asking any eligible and healthy donors to make an appointment to provide lifesaving blood products to patients - safely and in accordance with state, local and federal mandates. Recoding is in our genes, and we’re committed to spreading the word on how and where to donate, safely, so those living with blood needs can continue to recode their own stories.

“You can still go out and give blood. We’re worried about potential blood shortages in the future. Social distancing does not have to mean social disengagement.”
- U.S. Surgeon General
