At bluebird we are committed to using cutting-edge science to make a real difference for patients with serious rare and genetic disease. bluebird is conducting clinical studies with two autologous hematopoietic stem cell gene therapies: LentiGlobin BB305 for transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia (TDT) and severe sickle cell disease (SCD) and Lenti-D for cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy. These therapies have the potential to offer transformative new options to patients. The LentiGlobin and Lenti-D clinical programs are preparing for commercialization and the Manager, Scientific Communication, Hemoglobinopathies will play a critical role in launch preparation and execution. Gene therapy is a ground-breaking field and Medical Affairs is central to commercialization efforts, with critical roles in education and care delivery.
As a key member of the Scientific Communication and Medical Operations (SCMO) team, the Sr. Manager, Sci Comm will contribute to the development and execution of a broad range of content for publications, training, medical information, field medical, and external educational programs across TDT and SCD. This individual will report to the Director, Scientific Communication and Medical Education, Hemoglobinopathies.
